LifeXchange is our program connecting Xchange Students with Xchange Helpers. Xchange Helpers are natives of the focus culture and are fluent in the language. Xchange Helpers agree to meet with Xchange Students on a regular basis to help them learn and practice the language as well as gain greater understanding of their culture. The frequency of meetings will vary depending on the needs and desires of both the Xchange Student and the Xchange Helper. Typically, Students and Helpers will meet between one and three times a week, and are encouraged to participate in activities of interest to them outside of language learning as well. In this way they are building relationship and broadening their cross-cultural experience.
